Job Summary
The Early Intervention Service Coordinator position supports the SPOE team by performing professional service coordination for families of infants and toddlers, including leading IFSP processes, collecting family information for participation fees, coordinating services and referrals, and facilitating EIT meetings. The role requires home-based service delivery with travel to family homes, strong organization and communication skills, proficiency with Paycom/WebSPOE, and the ability to maintain accurate records in accordance with DESE First Steps contracts. Strong emphasis on trauma-informed practices, cultural sensitivity, and collaboration with families and community resources. Prolonged computer work and travel are expected; candidates should be comfortable working from a home office within the assigned service area and meeting contractual timelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) in Early Childhood Special Education, Early Childhood, Elementary Education, Special Education, Child/Human Development, Social Work, Nursing, Psychology, Education Administration, Sociology, Family Science/Studies, Counseling OR Bachelor’s Degree (BA, BS) or higher with three years of documented experience working with families and young children
- Must have a valid driver’s license
- Must provide proof of personal valid vehicle insurance
- Background screenings required prior to start
- Fingerprinting after starting
