Job Summary
Develop and implement individualized learning plans and developmentally appropriate lesson plans based on assessment data and observations. Create a nurturing, child-centered environment that supports cognitive, social-emotional, language, and physical development through hands-on, play-based experiences. Provide responsive caregiving for infants and toddlers, including feeding, diapering, and health monitoring, while maintaining a safe, healthy classroom. Observe, document, and assess progress using tools like GOLD to inform instruction and support children with special needs through IFSPs. Partner with families through regular communication, home visits, and conferences to foster engagement and school readiness. Collaborate with staff on team meetings, coaching sessions, and trainings to ensure coordinated services.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- A passion for working with infants, toddlers, and families in a nurturing, inclusive environment
- Infant/Toddler CDA OR Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (or related field with Infant/Toddler coursework required)
- Ability to obtain Infant/Toddler CDA within one year if provisionally qualified
- CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain within one year)
- Ability to interact effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds
- Basic computer literacy including email, Google Suite, and data systems
- Dependable, organized, and able to manage responsibilities independently
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Ability to lift and assist children weighing up to 40 pounds
- Physical exam and background checks are required for this position
