Job Summary
Early Head Start Teacher responsible for creating a rich, developmentally appropriate classroom for infants/toddlers in Lansing. Responsibilities include establishing a safe, engaging learning environment; conducting screenings/assessments; communicating progress with families; developing weekly individualized plans; maintaining and submitting required documentation (including IEPs and CACFP adherence); planning and implementing weekly lesson plans; completing home visits and parent-teacher conferences; supervising meals and activities; providing leadership and training to staff; coordinating with Family Advocates on enrollment and attendance; collaborating with a team to deliver high-quality programming; and completing background checks and pre-employment drug screening as part of employment with Head Start.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of an Infant Toddler CDA required
- Associate's degree or Bachelor's degree in Child Development or Early Childhood Education preferred
- A minimum of one year of related experience in education or child development is preferred
