Job Summary
Observe, document, and assess student progress for children ages 6 weeks to 3 years. Develop and implement individualized lesson plans based on student data, interests, and developmental practices. Engage families in program services, conduct conferences, and perform home visits to promote parenting skills. Maintain clean, safe, and engaging indoor and outdoor learning environments while completing monthly reports and newsletters. Ensure compliance with Bauer Policies, State Licensing, and Head Start Program Performance Standards. Attend regular staff meetings and professional development days.
Required Qualifications
- Child Development Associate (CDA) Certificate, OR an associate, bachelor, or advanced degree in a non-related ECE field with training in infant-toddler development
- Must maintain a valid Indiana driver's license and meet the requirements of the insurance carrier at all times
- 1-2 years related experience preferred
- Commitment to serving children and families in poverty with the highest quality services
- Willingness to learn and apply new knowledge
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Knowledge of child development and health and safety standards
- Ability to create effective lesson plans that promote development
- Organization and time management
- Ability to fluently communicate in Spanish is a plus
