Job Summary
Plan and provide developmentally appropriate activities for infants and toddlers, supervising center-based experiences that advance social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Develop individualized goals and plans for each child, screen and document progress in the GOLD online assessment system, and maintain accurate records of observations, lesson plans, and attendance. Establish supportive relationships with families, facilitate parental involvement, and schedule home visits and conferences as required. Work in tandem with an integrated team and mentor teacher to implement the Early Head Start curriculum while ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment in compliance with all regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Current Infant/Toddler CDA
- Knowledge of Early Head Start mission, goals policies and procedures
- Knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and other regulatory requirements
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's Degree Early Childhood Education or related field
- Basic knowledge of the use of computers
