Job Summary
Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher, including assisting with transitions and managing indoor and outdoor learning environments. Provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences in language, literacy, social-emotional development, math, science, social studies, creative arts, and physical development while integrating child assessment data into individual and group planning. Protect the physical and mental health and safety of children at all times, ensuring no child is left unsupervised and reporting any suspected or known abuse or neglect immediately. Communicate child observations to teachers regarding potential interference with development and school readiness, and support coordination with education, family, and professional staff to address identified needs. Maintain confidentiality in all areas of child and program operations and participate in staff development and continuing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous early childcare experience
- Ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Innovative Network of Knowledge policies and procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- COVID vaccination
- Annual Influenza vaccination
- Authorization to work for ANY employer in the U.S.
