Job Summary
Support classroom activities as directed by the teacher, assist with transitions, and maintain an organized learning environment promoting healthy development for children birth to five. Protect the physical and mental health and safety of all children, ensuring no child is left unsupervised while reporting suspected abuse or neglect immediately. Implement prescribed curricula across language, literacy, social-emotional, math, science, and physical development domains, integrating assessment data into individual and group planning. Communicate child observations to teachers and support coordination with education, family, and mental health professionals to address identified needs. Maintain confidentiality in all operations and participate in staff development, training, and wellness initiatives. Communicate sensitively in English and Spanish (preferred) while prioritizing duties in a fast-paced setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Child Development Associate (CDA) credential
- Previous early childcare experience
- Ability to respond sensitively and competently to the service population's cultural and socio-economic characteristics
- Demonstrated ability to maintain emotional control and professional composure at all times
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of all Innovative Network of Knowledge policies and procedures
- Ability to organize and prioritize duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced environment
- English (United States) authorization to work
