Early Head Start Floater

Early Head Start Floater role focusing on supporting the Head Start program and classroom operations. Responsibilities include assisting in implementing the program curriculum and Head Start Performance Standards, organizing the classroom with developmentally appropriate activities, preparing lesson plans and learning centers, documenting observations and family input, recruiting and coordinating classroom volunteers, maintaining accurate records and reports, ensuring a clean, safe learning environment, and upholding confidentiality. Requires strong communication with children, parents, and staff; ability to interact with at‐risk populations; compliance with licensing and Head Start requirements; capability to collaborate with lead Teacher; and mandatory reporting of suspected child abuse/neglect. Minimum qualifications include a high school diploma/GED, a Child Development Associate Credential (CDA), CPR/First Aid certification, successful background checks, and post‐offer pre‐employment contingencies. Preferred qualification includes one year of full‐time early childhood experience in a licensed program.
