Early Head Start Classroom Assistant

Create a warm, nurturing environment for toddlers while delivering individualized Early Head Start experiences. Work on developmentally appropriate tasks during small group time and serve as a positive role model for behavior, speech, and eating. Manage child behavior using acceptable methods, consulting Toddler Teachers or Mental Health Professionals as needed. Treat participants, fellow staff, and community members with positive regard while maintaining confidentiality of children's records. Attend post-class evaluations to report daily progress and complete assigned paperwork and training, including CPR and First Aid. Demonstrate sensitivity to children and participate in an individualized continuing education plan.
