Job Summary
Supervise and engage with toddlers, maintain classroom cleanliness, and assist with lesson planning using the Creative Curriculum. Follow a consistent routine for children's daily care, utilizing meal and outdoor times as learning opportunities while protecting students and facilities. Collaborate with the teaching team to support student development, model positive interactions, and implement PBIS strategies under the Head Teacher's direction. Support family involvement in the classroom and participate in weekly team meetings and required trainings. This part-year position includes an unpaid summer break, with a requirement to obtain CPR certification and a background check within 30 days of hire.
Required Qualifications
- At time of hire must be enrolled in the Oregon Child Care Division Central Background Registry (CBR) and maintain active enrollment during employment
- Obtain within 30 days of employment: Adult and Pediatric CPR & First Aid Certification and Food Handlers Card (paid by the organization)
- Successful completion of pre-employment physical exam and TB test prior to start date
- Basic Proficiency of Microsoft Office
Desired Qualifications
- Experience working with children between the ages of 0 and 3 in a formal early childhood setting
