Early Head Start Classroom Aide

Job Summary
Assist Teacher and Assistant Teacher with daily classroom activities and schedules; help follow through on daily lesson plans; ensure classroom has necessary materials; input child behavior observation notes for individualization; participate in Open House and other events; apply PBIS in directing and guiding children; participate in bus monitor training and serve as bus monitor if needed; keep classroom neat, safe, and uncluttered; provide child care at Family Gatherings; assist in meal preparation per CACFP guidelines; maintain confidentiality, follow program policies, and participate in trainings; meet job qualifications including high school diploma/GED, and possess or obtain required certifications (CDAs preferred), driver’s license, background check, First Aid/ CPR, and Oregon Food Handler’s Card.
Required Qualifications
- U.S. High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
- Current Driver's license and insured vehicle available for use on the job
- Ability to maintain State of Oregon Criminal Background Registry
- Current First Aid/CPR certification
- Oregon Food Handler’s Card
- Ability to obtain and maintain an Oregon Food Handler’s Card
- Ability to cooperate in a team environment
