Job Summary
Experienced infant/toddler teacher responsible for leading and supporting a preschool/daycare classroom with emphasis on ages 6 weeks to 2 years and extending to 2–5-year-old environments. Implement the LEAP Curriculum in a childcare setting, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment. Build strong relationships with children and families, collaborate with staff to support enrollment and engagement goals, and ensure the safety, supervision, and development of every child. Requires an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education (or on a study plan toward a Bachelor’s degree) and prior childcare experience. Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and contribute to a team-oriented, professional classroom. Located in Staten Island, NY. The role is full-time with schedules such as 8 to 5 or 9 to 6.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree in Early Childhood Education or on a Study Plan toward a Bachelor’s degree
- Prior childcare and daycare experience
- Strong understanding of early childhood education and development
- Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively supervise children
