Job Summary
Lead the preschool's vision, culture, and daily operations by coaching educators, conducting bi-annual 1:1 meetings, and delivering a responsive, evidence-informed program for children aged 3 to 6. Manage safe, engaging learning environments through consistent routines, supervision, and hazard management while ensuring compliance with the National Quality Framework and child protection standards. Drive quality improvement by maintaining zero major compliance breaches, overseeing the Quality Improvement Plan, and building trusting partnerships with families to honor their cultural identity and aspirations. Work Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm during school terms, with all staff required to be available between 7:50am and 4:30pm for rostered shifts.
Required Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent, such as a Bachelor of Education (Early Childhood Education) or Diploma of Early Education and Care.
- Current accreditation as a Conditional, Provisional or Proficient Teacher with the NSW Education Standards Authority.
- Strong knowledge of current early education and care legislation and regulations, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Standard.
- Current ACECQA-approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis and asthma certificates, ACECQA-approved Child Protection training, and Child Safe Training from the Office of the Children's Guardian.
- Current Working with Children Check and NDIS Worker Screening clearances.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor and collaborate with educators, families, external professionals and colleagues across the organisation.
- Strong communication, organisation, time management, documentation and accountability, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- The ability to meet the physical requirements of the role, including regular travel as required and safely lifting and carrying up to 10kg.
