Job Summary
Provide high-quality curriculum for children ages 0-3, guiding routines including feeding, toileting, and sleep while fostering oral language through frequent dialogue. Design learning environments aligned with Reggio Emilia principles and conduct daily safety checks. Observe and document learning using Teaching Strategies GOLD to plan experiences promoting social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development. Collaborate with co-teachers, families, and therapists to monitor development, create individual portfolios, and facilitate family conferences. Support two-generation programming by engaging parents during Family Time, modeling literacy strategies, and assisting with home visits. Contribute to professional learning communities, assist with recruitment and field trips, and maintain consistent communication with supervisors regarding goals and activities.
Required Qualifications
- 3-7 years experience working directly with young children
- Current Pediatric First Aid and CPR certification
- Demonstrates flexibility, knowledge and enthusiasm for working with children of various ages
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out moderately complex, multi-step instructions and make appropriate independent decisions as necessary
- Must be able to lift objects up to fifty (50) pounds
Desired Qualifications
- CDA + Associates or Bachelors Degree in Early Childhood Education preferred
