Job Summary
Create a flexible learning environment and deliver instruction in pre-reading, language arts, mathematics, science, and other subjects aligned with state standards. Develop lesson plans for students with diverse maturities, monitor behavior to maintain an informal atmosphere, and evaluate academic and social growth through records and progress reports. Communicate with parents via conferences and various channels to discuss individual pupil progress. Identify student needs and collaborate with staff to address health, attitude, and learning problems. Supervise students during out-of-classroom activities including cafeteria duty, field trips, and playground monitoring.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's in Education
- Early Childhood Certification through the Oklahoma Department of Education
- Must have adequate manual dexterity to write legibly and perform required duties on the computer
- Must have adequate visual acuity to read, interpret, and transcribe written material and other required duties
- Requires some stooping, bending, stretching, and occasional lifting not to exceed 50 pounds
