Job Summary
As an Early Childhood Teacher for infants and toddlers (6 weeks to 3 years) at Child Development Resources in Williamsburg, VA, you’ll create a warm, engaging classroom that supports children’s social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development, maintain a low teacher-to-child ratio (4:1) in classrooms of up to 8 children, build positive partnerships with families, and deliver Early Head Start services. You’ll grow professionally through paid credentialing, ongoing development, CPR/First Aid/MAT certifications, and opportunities for advancement within a mission-driven nonprofit. The role emphasizes developmentally appropriate care, play-based learning experiences, and collaboration with families to foster children's growth. Requirements include an Associate’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (Bachelor’s preferred) and experience with infants and toddlers; preferred qualifications include Infant/Toddler CDA credential (or willingness to obtain), knowledge of Head Start Performance Standards and Virginia licensing requirements, bilingual abilities, and related certifications.
