Job Summary
Provide professional development and technical assistance for child care providers on infant and toddler matters. Participate in the WV Infant Toddler Specialist Network initiatives and collaborate with the TRAILS team on practice observations and training experiences. Traverse various terrain to access visitation sites while compiling reports and responding to inquiries within established timelines. Submit requests for materials and training resources as needed. This role supports the CCR&R program, requiring a Bachelor's degree in early childhood or related fields and one year of experience with children under 36 months. Valid driver's license and extensive travel flexibility are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in early childhood, developmental psychology or child development
- One year of professional, paid, and documented work experience with infants and toddlers under the age of 36 months
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Able to travel extensively; requires the need for flexible scheduling, including occasional evenings and weekends
- Must be able to lift 25 pounds at times
- Complete initial online training for Infant/Toddler Environment Rating Scale-revised (ITERS-R) within first (6) months of employment
- Become fully certified in the Program for Infant/Toddler (PITC) with timeline for completion per policy and procedures prior to presenting WVIT- Relationship-Based Care (WVIT II)
- Complete process for West Virginia Infant/Toddler Mental Health Credential within one (1) year of PITC certification
