Job Summary
Provide goal-directed and patient-centered services to early childhood patients aged 3-6 diagnosed with Serious Emotional Disturbance. Deliver services and interventions to teach social and emotional regulation skills within an on-site early childhood classroom setting at COMCARE Children’s and in the community to enhance daily functioning across child care, school, home, and community. Responsibilities include service provision case management, risk assessments, transportation to medical appointments and community supports, treatment planning with family participation when needed, collaboration with the treatment team, and documentation to meet medical necessity and CMHC/CCBHC guidelines.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in human services/education
- driving level position requiring a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and access to a personal passenger vehicle
- must pass KBI, DCF child abuse check, adult abuse registry, and motor vehicle records screening
- complete orientations provided by Sedgwick County and COMCARE
- ability to document services in medical records in a timely manner
