Job Summary
Provide each student with a disability an educational program enabling them to reach their fullest physical, emotional, psychological, and behavioral potential. Deliver instruction that supports students with specific disabilities and their families while collaborating on transition plans and intervention strategies. Maintain valid Michigan teaching certification with specific endorsement for students with disabilities. Adhere to the LIEA Master Contract for weeks, salary, and fringe benefits as a salaried exempt employee within the Lenawee Intermediate School District.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with Teaching Certificate
- Experience working with students with disabilities and their families
- Possess valid and current Michigan teaching certificate
- Certification as a teacher of students with specific endorsement as approved by the Michigan State Board of Education
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in related field
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training
- Experience developing transition plans
- Experience working with intervention and therapeutic treatment teams
