Job Summary
As a Special Education Teacher, you will evaluate, assess, and screen students using appropriate standardized testing and clinical observational skills. You will be responsible for implementing each child's IEP/IFSP while promoting their well-being and helping them progress toward their goals. This role includes managing assigned classroom staff, maintaining documentation in a professional manner, and collaborating with families and other professionals. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree in Special Education and have the necessary NYSED certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Masters Degree in Special Education
- NYSED certification in Special Education in one of the following areas: NYSED Students with Disabilities Birth – 2nd Grade, NYSED Permanent Special Education, NYSED Special Education certification and also holds Severe or Multiple Disabilities Annotation
