Job Summary
Conduct tutorial assistance and provide supervisory support for students in a group setting. Lift and assist with toileting needs while maintaining interpersonal compatibility with students and staff. Deliver basic academic competencies as required by the Individual Educational Plan (IEP). This non-licensed paraprofessional role operates Monday through Friday from 8:45 to 3:15 pm for 30 hours weekly. The position is classified under the LEAF bargaining unit with a starting salary of $21.18 to $25.38 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- AA degree/60 college credits
- successful Paraeducator assessment
- Training or experience working with children in a group tutorial and supervisory setting
- ability to lift and toilet student
- basic academic competencies to provide tutorial assistance to the student(s) as needed
