Job Summary
Early Childhood Social Worker implementing the Conscious Discipline framework to foster a safe, connected, and regulated learning environment. Responsibilities include facilitating emotional regulation through individual and small-group sessions, crisis de-escalation using trauma-informed techniques, advocating for students’ social-emotional needs, collaborating with teachers on classroom coaching, leading professional development on Conscious Discipline, consulting with staff on interpreting challenging behaviors, engaging families through home–school connections, and connecting families with community mental health resources and basic needs support.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field
- Valid State Social Work license (LMSW/LCSW) or School Social Worker certification
- Expertise in Conscious Discipline (certification preferred)
- Strong collaboration with teachers and families
- Experience in social-emotional development and early childhood brain development
