Job Summary
Partner with Early Childhood Teaching Teams to actively support the classroom environment while assisting with the implementation of an age-appropriate curriculum to nurture and stimulate all domains of children's development. Adapt daily care routines and strategies to balance individual and group interests, ensuring a safe, developmentally appropriate, and trauma-informed care aligned with NH Child Care Licensing Unit and NAEYC standards. Provide ongoing observations and developmental evaluations, maintain respectful relationships with parents, and complete daily health checks regarding hygiene and safety. Assist with daily maintenance, sterilization, and cleaning to operate a clean, well-equipped classroom, while supporting children during challenging behaviors using positive guidance and proactive social-emotional strategies. Take responsibility for appropriate child supervision, circle times, small groups, and individual work as needed.
Required Qualifications
- A minimum of 9 credits in early childhood education or related coursework, awarded by an accredited college or university, with at least 3 credits in child or human growth and development, plus 6 months of experience in an early childhood education program
- 3 credits in child or human growth and development from an accredited college or university, with 1 year of experience in an early childhood education program
- The ability to meet NH Child Care Licensing Unit's requirements for 'Associate Teacher' per NH CCLU He-C4002
- Obtaining and maintaining New Hampshire Early Childhood Professional Development credential (per NH Licensing Requirements) is required after the first 6 months of employment
- Certified in Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Organization and time management skills
