Job Summary
Present interactive and educational demonstrations to teachers, students, and families; explain hands-on exhibits and assist with the development of special activities. Deliver public programs to large audiences inside and outside the Museum; support volunteers and interns. Requires a passion for children and learning, with experience in Science and Nature Education; high school diploma required with preferred Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Early Childhood. Schedule includes Summer and Fall shifts with a flexible arrangement, including weekends; compensation is $14.00/hour. Equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in an Early Childhood discipline or related discipline preferred
- Teaching experience highly preferred
- Physical Requirements: light and heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs.), sitting, bending, walking and standing
