Job Summary
Lead Teacher at Bright Horizons: guide a teaching team to develop classroom plans, lead hands-on activities to meet children’s needs and interests, maintain open communication with parents about daily milestones, ensure a safe, clean classroom following procedures, and deliver an engaging, developmentally appropriate curriculum. Requires background checks and meeting state/company education/experience requirements; HS diploma/GED required with preferred CDA/AA/BA in Early Childhood Education and 12–18 months of professional teaching experience. Required Qualifications
- high school diploma or GED
- CDA, Associate, or bachelor’s degree in early education or related field is preferred
- 12 Child Development units completed
- 12 to 18 months of professional experience teaching in child care, daycare, or preschool settings is required
- Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice (DAP) is required
