Early Childhood Physical Therapist

Job Summary
Evaluate, assess, and treat clients by administering physical therapy assessments, developing individualized treatment plans with measurable goals, and providing therapy in classroom and functional settings. Interpret evaluation results to create formal written reports within 10 working days and refer clients for additional services as appropriate. Collaborate regularly with interdisciplinary teams to solve problems and monitor progress, while documenting weekly schedules, daily notes, and billing in deTaso. Communicate client progress to parents every two weeks, complete discharge summaries, and supervise physical therapy assistants. Maintain familiarity with health and safety guidelines, attend department meetings and trainings, and complete annual continuing education.
Required Qualifications
- A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited college or university
- Current Arkansas license as a Physical Therapist
- One year of experience working with the indicated client population
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with a wide variety of people
- Ability to work with children and adolescents
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and accuracy
- Basic computer skills which includes a working knowledge of databases, word processing, spreadsheets, and Internet software
- Ability to handle multiple tasks in a very busy environment
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, policies, and other company documents
- Ability to write routine reports and professional correspondence
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions provided in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standard situations
- Valid Driver's License
- Current auto liability insurance
- Registration
- Clean driving record
- Physical ability to drive to local locations throughout Arkansas
Desired Qualifications
- One year of experience working with the indicated client population is preferred, but not required
