Job Summary
Provide individual, family, and group counseling and psychotherapy to assigned caseloads, including specialty services for substance use and maternal depression. Develop and maintain therapeutic relationships with clients, families, and caregivers while responding to mental health emergencies in a culturally responsive manner. Identify crisis interventions, coordinate community resources, and serve as a liaison for referrals and advocacy. Complete documented evidence-based treatment plans and progress notes, accurately maintain clinical and legal documentation, and actively participate in treatment conferences. Work with young clients from birth to age 6 across home, community, and office settings, while attending regular supervision and maintaining required licenses.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from accredited program
- LSW+ or LPC+ license and related educational requirement
- Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders
- Knowledge of principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of emotional and mental dysfunctions
- Knowledge of group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, human migrations, ethnicity, and cultures and their history and origins
- Effective interpersonal skills; ability to form relationships with diverse populations within diverse settings
- Excellent time management skills; able to prioritize, comfortable in fast-paced environment with multiple clients
- Proficient computer skills, including Electronic Health Records, Windows applications, Microsoft Office Suite, etc
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver's License with a safe driving record and valid insurance
- Ability to take and pass a physical exam and drug screen
- Authorization to work legally in the United States
- Must maintain all required licenses
