Job Summary
Plan and deliver units of study consistent with the Léman mission and IB philosophy, emphasizing inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking. Create differentiated classroom experiences using Responsive Classroom to provide scaffolded support for all learners. Develop lesson plans utilizing group discussions, projects, exhibits, and technology while monitoring and reporting student achievement through formal and informal assessments. Counsel students with academic challenges, address behavioral concerns, and assist with transitions, recess, and lunch duty. Keep parents informed of academic performance, attendance, and social-emotional learning through regular conferences and communication. Collaborate with staff on instructional goals, participate in faculty meetings and school committees, and complete assigned duties such as test proctoring. Maintain professional conduct as a role model both inside and outside the school.
Required Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Education
- At least 3 years teaching experience in high-performing school
- Certifications or licenses specific to age group
- Commitment to the school's mission, core values, and inclusion statement
- Experience interpreting and using multiple forms of data to inform instruction
- Knowledge and experience developing and assessing curriculum
- Experience with integration of instructional technology
- Excellent written communication, public speaking, and presentation skills
