Job Summary
Part-time Early Childhood Learning Teacher Assistant supporting a school-age program (5-12) at Healthy Kids Programs. Collaborates with Lead Teacher to facilitate hands-on activities aligned with Creative Curriculum; maintains parent communication via Playground App; uses CLASS method to promote positive adult-child interactions; supports education, health, welfare, and safety following ECERS/ITERS standards; eligible candidates are 18+, have a HS diploma, and are physically able to assist with children up to 50 lbs. Employer-paid childcare benefits and a range of voluntary plus benefits accompany this role. Hours vary between 6:30 am and 6:30 pm in Waterloo, NY (part-time, non-exempt).
Required Qualifications
- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Preferably 1 year of experience with kids under 13
- Medically cleared of any communicable diseases including TB
- Must be warm, friendly, and upbeat; strong people skills, reliable, prompt
- Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, carry up to 50 lbs
- Ability to participate in activities aligned with Creative Curriculum
- Ability to communicate with parents via Playground App
- Ability to adhere to ECERS/ITERS standards and protocols
