Job Summary
Lead Teacher at Healthy Kids Programs’ Early Learning Center in New Windsor (and Washingtonville) for the 2025–2026 school year. Responsibilities include program compliance with state regulations and host-school requirements; planning and leading engaging activities aligned with the Healthy Kids Curriculum (fitness, STEAM, academics, arts, and homework support); managing daily operations (attendance, registration, staffing); maintaining clear family communication via the Playground App; collaborating with direct report and team to ensure high-quality care and staff morale; supporting transitions between toddler, preschool, and kindergarten; maintaining classroom records and training/guiding teachers, interns, substitutes, and volunteers. Qualifications options include: a Bachelor’s degree with 12+ credits in ECE or related field plus one year of teaching and one year of supervision; an Associate’s degree with plan toward a Bachelor's plus two years of teaching and two years of supervision; a NYS Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of teaching and one year of supervision; or a CDA or equivalent credential with plan toward a Bachelor's and two years of teaching and two years of supervision. Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience in an early childhood setting
- An Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
- A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience.
