Job Summary
Lead Teacher for Healthy Kids Programs Early Learning Center in New Windsor, NY, part-time position (6:30 am–6:30 pm, Mon–Fri) focusing on planning engaging activities aligned with the curriculum, supervising staff, ensuring program compliance, maintaining attendance/registration records, and communicating with families via the Playground App. Responsibilities include program leadership and management, staff guidance for interns/substitutes/volunteers, transitions between age groups, and providing a safe, quality childcare environment. Eligible candidates hold a bachelor’s or equivalent credential with related experience, or an appropriate NYS credential, and demonstrate leadership, teamwork, and the ability to meet physical demands of the role.
Required Qualifications
- A Bachelor’s degree with at least 12 credits in early childhood education, child development, or a related field, plus one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
- An Associate’s degree in early childhood education or a related field with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience
- A New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential with one year of full-time teaching experience and one year of staff supervision experience
- A Child Development Associate (CDA) or other office-recognized credential, with a plan of study toward a Bachelor’s degree or a New York State Children’s Program Administrator Credential, plus two years of full-time teaching experience and two years of staff supervision experience.
