Job Summary

Design and implement age-appropriate lesson plans integrating play-based learning to foster physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development. Observe and assess each child's progress, documenting observations and providing feedback to parents during conferences. Maintain a safe, inclusive classroom environment using positive discipline techniques while ensuring supplies are organized and accessible. Communicate regularly with guardians and involve them in activities and school events. Collaborate with colleagues to share effective teaching strategies and participate in ongoing professional development. Full-time Monday through Friday schedule with occasional evening or weekend availability for meetings and events.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
  • State certification in Early Childhood Education (if applicable)
  • Minimum of 1 year experience teaching young children
  • Experience with curriculum planning and classroom management
  • Strong understanding of early childhood development principles
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a warm and engaging learning environment
  • Proficient in using technology for educational purposes
  • Patient, compassionate, and enthusiastic
  • Creative and adaptable to different learning styles
  • Committed to fostering a love of learning in young children
  • Some evenings and weekends may be required for meetings or school events
  • Physical requirements include lifting children and classroom materials, as well as participating in physical activities with children
