Job Summary
Step into lead teaching roles across classrooms, providing seamless coverage and continuity for preschool-aged children. Plan and implement play-based, developmentally appropriate curriculum aligned with Oregon's Early Learning standards while supervising activities that promote exploration and problem-solving. Establish a safe, organized environment, follow health and safety practices including meal routines and toileting support, and complete required documentation such as incident reports and medication logs. Foster positive relationships with families through daily greetings and participation in conferences, while collaborating with the site director to reflect on practices. This full-time Monday–Friday position offers a consistent schedule, with compensation of $22.00–$24.00/hr depending on qualifications. Required Qualifications
- At least 20 semester credits (or 30 quarter credits) in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field
- One year of qualifying teaching experience (minimum 1,500 hours) in a licensed early childhood program with preschool-aged children
- Enrollment in the Oregon Central Background Registry
- Current Adult & Pediatric First Aid, CPR & AED certification
- Current Oregon Food Handler's Card
- Completion of required ELD trainings: RRCAN, ICCHS, PBtT, FFL, and Safe Sleep for Oregon's Infants
- Ability to complete at least 15 hours of annual continuing education in early childhood education
- Meet Oregon ELD licensing requirements for Lead Teacher qualification
- Can sit on the floor, lift up to 40 lbs, and stay active with children indoors and outdoors
- Reliable personal transportation
