Job Summary
Design and deliver an engaging curriculum promoting cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development while adhering to New York State's Next Generation Learning Standards. Build a supportive classroom community where every child feels safe and excited to learn. Implement data-driven instruction using insights from educational software to personalize learning and foster student growth. Utilize expertise in the Science of Reading to develop foundational literacy skills. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and students to create a seamless educational experience. Create a dynamic learning environment by using differentiated instruction across all subject areas. Observe and assess student progress, communicating regularly with parents to celebrate successes and discuss development.
Required Qualifications
- A valid New York State Professional/Initial Teacher License
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field
- Experience teaching elementary grade students
- Proven knowledge and application of the Science of Reading and New York State's Next Generation Learning Standards
- Proficiency with educational software and using data to inform classroom instruction
- A strong foundation in classroom management and experience with differentiated instruction
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
