Job Summary
Teach young children in an integrated pre-school classroom with the Special Education Teacher, creating and maintaining a structured, safe environment that addresses individual development needs. Administer developmental assessments, coordinate daily lesson plans using NYS Learning Standards, and supervise paraprofessionals, aides, and volunteers. Maintain confidential student records, complete annual performance appraisals for staff, and participate in parent-teacher conferences and in-service training. This Full Time role at Happiness House - Canandaigua site includes a $3,000 signing bonus paid over two years, with a salary of $42,000-$50,000.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Childhood Education with NYS certification in Childhood Education
- Experience working with young children
- Knowledge of child development and student learning
- Knowledge of content and instructional planning and implementation
- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must have demonstrated commitment to performing job duties and tasks at a high level of performance
- Must be able to lift and/or move objects up to 10 pounds
- Must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 30 pounds
- Must be available for evening and weekend work
- Must be available for Monday through Friday, 8:00am-4:0pm schedule
- Must be able to talk

- Must be able to stand
- Must be able to walk
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle or feel
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
