Job Summary
Support the on-site child learning team to ensure integrity and quality within early childhood classrooms by observing, engaging in collaborative problem-solving, and implementing agreed-upon strategies based on Nebraska Early Learning Guidelines. Coach classroom teachers using reflective practices to support the developmentally appropriate education program and monitor effective teacher-child interactions. Assist the Program Manager in preparing performance reports and report Child Learning Team progress via observation tools while communicating recommendations for change. This role requires proficiency in English and Spanish and familiarity with CLASS and ITERS/ECERS tools.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education or related field
- Three years of direct experience in the early childhood education field
- Proficiency in English and Spanish
- Knowledge of curriculum, principles, and best practices of early childhood education
Desired Qualifications
- Certified/reliable in CLASS observation tools & ITERS/ECERS, (TPOT/TPITOS)
- Experience as an early childhood coach
- Ability to support a wide range of constituents and diverse populations, including diverse socio-economic, ability/disability, racial, ethnic, age, gender, family make-up, and education levels
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
