Job Summary
Oversee daily operations of assigned Kidco Head Start locations, including staff supervision, compliance monitoring, and curriculum implementation. Ensure adherence to Federal Head Start Program Performance Standards, licensing regulations, and Oregon Child Care Division requirements. Conduct regular staff meetings, provide behaviorally specific feedback, and manage classroom ratios and attendance. Maintain records for child incident reports, teacher evaluations, and data entry into TS GOLD and ChildPlus. Assist in site recruitment and manage purchasing and inventory. This salaried, exempt role requires a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and two years of preschool-level teaching experience. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development
- A minimum of two years teaching experience at the preschool level

- A minimum of 2 years experience in lead role/management/supervision of adults in an education setting

- Experience working with children with mental health /special needs and/or disabilities
- Experience planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum
- Two years' experience in social services/education field in a supervisory or lead role preferred
- Education and/or experience working with adults in a supportive or teaching capacity
- Sensitivity to individual and group needs of adults and children in target areas
- Ability to set and maintain professional boundaries with families and staff
- Ability and desire to work cooperatively with others on a team
- as a team leader, the ability to demonstrate interest, skill, and success in getting groups to learn to work together
- Experience creating professional memos, correspondence, reports and documentation with computer supported applications
- Demonstrated organizational and recordkeeping skills
- Ability to be self-directed and work independently
- Ability to communicate effectively in written and oral communications with staff, families, children and the public
- Ability to delegate responsibility and to work with others and coach them to develop their capabilities
- Current First Aid/CPR and Food Handler cards within 30 days of hire
- Current and ongoing registration with Child Care Division Central Background Registry
- Valid Oregon driver's license and acceptable driving record meeting the criteria for agency insurance and driving program vehicles
- Completion of agency Employee Health Appraisal
- Frequent use of computer and phone
- Frequent driving to various work sites, trainings, meetings, etc
- Ability to demonstrate support for innovation and for organizational changes needed to improve the organization's effectiveness
