Job Summary
As an Early Childhood Assistant/Aide Teacher, you will work closely with the lead teacher, program director, and other staff to implement inquiry-based, play-based curricula that nurture intellectual, physical, social, emotional, and character development in young children. Responsibilities include assisting the lead teacher with curriculum development and documentation, observing and documenting students’ learning experiences, maintaining a safe and orderly classroom, enforcing rules, and partnering with families to support each child’s learning. You will also help with equipment planning and attend trainings to grow professionally, with opportunities for pay increases as experience levels are achieved. The role emphasizes collaboration with families, co-teachers, and the broader school community, and aligns with Thrive Golden’s philosophy of growth, play, and discovery.
Required Qualifications
- Meets or exceeds minimum qualifications for employment as an Early Childhood Assistant/Aide Teacher in Colorado
- Experience working with young children and families
- Knowledge of play-based learning
- Familiarity with Reggio Emilia educational philosophies
- Ability to work closely with lead teacher, program director, and staff
- Ability to observe, document, and assess children's learning experiences
- Ability to enforce classroom rules and safety procedures
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
