Job Summary
Conduct daily classroom activities across various preschool settings, supporting the Lead Teacher in planning engaging lessons that foster curiosity, exploration, and socialization. Maintain a safe, healthy environment through constant supervision during meals, nap time, and outdoor play while responding to individual child needs with care. Assist with curriculum development, classroom preparation, and professional development, collaborating with staff and families to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere. Step in for the Lead Teacher as needed to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum age of 16 years
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or HiSET
- Complete American Heart Association Heartsaver CPR and Pediatric First Aid certification within 30 days of employment and maintain certification
- Be current on the Montana Early Childhood Project Practitioner Registry within 15 days of hire
- Complete Infant Safety Essentials within 30 days
- Complete Health and Safety Required Professional Development within 90 days of hire
- Maintain required immunizations
- Complete annual mandatory 16-hour training
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma, GED equivalent, or HiSET preferred
