Job Summary
Create a safe, engaging environment by maintaining hazard-free play areas and promoting cleanliness standards. Support and supervise children during daily routines, guiding them through play and learning experiences while ensuring emotional well-being. Encourage lifelong healthy habits by modeling positive nutrition and exercise practices. Collaborate with teachers to plan activities, mentor new staff, and contribute to a positive workplace. Assist with administrative tasks including documentation, attendance tracking, and daily reports. Celebrate diversity by respecting each child's unique background and culture.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred
- Completion of Montana state-required early childhood training within 6 months of hire
- Completion of STARS Assistant Teacher training within 12 months
- CPR/AED certified or able to obtain within 30 days (training provided)
- Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills
- Genuine love for working with young children
- PRN Assistant Teachers must be available for a minimum of 25 hours per week
- Must pass pre-employment screening including criminal background check
- Must pass pre-employment screening including reference checks
- Must pass pre-employment screening including drug screening
- Must pass pre-employment screening including health and immunizations screening
- Must pass pre-employment screening including physical demand review/screening
Desired Qualifications
- Associate's degree in Early Childhood or Elementary Education preferred
