Early Childhood Assistant

Substitute in classrooms to ensure compliance with staff/child ratios and supervise preschool children in indoor and outdoor settings, including field trips. Monitor and respond to events at all times, providing redirection for active children and assisting with meals, transitions, and crisis situations requiring first aid or CPR. Support lesson plan development, implement literacy activities, and adapt curriculum to meet individual goals for Head Start children. Observe behaviors to identify strengths, encourage exploration and problem-solving, and facilitate parental involvement. Serve as a Bus Monitor and assist with classroom maintenance, sanitization, laundry, and inventory. Participate in team meetings and professional development.
