Early Childhood Assistant (Floater)

Substitute in classrooms to ensure compliance with staff/child ratios and supervise preschool children in indoor and outdoor settings, including field trips. Monitor and respond to active children, provide redirection for safety, and assist with special needs, gifted, and culturally diverse students. Develop lesson plans reflecting mandated elements and parental influences, implement literacy activities, and follow a schedule covering small/large groups, meals, and transitions. Observe children to identify strengths and growth areas, encourage exploration and problem-solving, and reinforce parental involvement. Serve as a Bus Monitor for safety during transport, respond to crises with first aid/CPR, and maintain classroom sanitation and inventory. Participate in team meetings, professional development, and training.
