Job Summary
Create a safe, inclusive classroom environment and supervise learning activities with students aged 6 weeks to 5 years. Prepare materials, direct activities, and assist with food preparation, serving meals, and cleaning. Provide individual care including diaper changes and potty training while maintaining discipline. Collaborate with educators to ensure all children participate and instill Catholic teachings into daily routines. Maintain classroom organization and cleanliness to support a conducive learning atmosphere. This role supports the center's year-round program from 6:00 am to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development for young learners.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working with young children in a preschool or daycare setting
- Strong knowledge of early childhood development principles and practices
- Strong communication skills
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all children, including those with special education needs
- Knowledge and ability to change diapers and help with potty training
- Consent to a background check
- Commitment to the Code of Conduct policy
- Completion of online and in-person trainings
