Job Summary
Respond to system malfunctions by troubleshooting and directing corrective maintenance activities for major mechanical equipment to ensure timely return to service. Update system documentation, develop advanced maintenance plans with Asset Health Assurance personnel, and conduct safety hazard analyses to write clear work instructions. Collaborate with design engineering, fabrication shops, and DoD clients to assess risks, develop improvement estimates, and safely plan and execute maintenance, upgrades, and test projects. Provide technical leadership to craft personnel while overseeing their troubleshooting efforts. This role supports ground testing of airframes and engines at Arnold AFB, TN, within an integrated team responsible for Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Required Qualifications
- BS degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited college or university
- Grade 06: 0 years of experience
- Grade 07: A minimum of 2 years' engineering experience
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense Secret level security clearance and access to the AEDC local area network
- U.S. Citizenship is required for employment at AEDC
- It is a condition of employment to wear company issued Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy

- Prior internship or co-op experience

- Exhibits strong level of technical curiosity and desire to seek understanding
- Strong interpersonal skills, strong written and oral communications skills, and confidence leading small teams
- Active Department of Defense Secret Security Clearance
