Job Summary

Design, analyze, simulate, test, and document power conversion circuitry for Telemetry and Flight Termination products, focusing on non-isolated and isolated switch mode converters. Guide ECAD drafters through layout and routing activities while developing test procedures to validate circuit card designs against project requirements. Assist in layer stackup definition and support design phases from requirements through initial integration testing. Requires a bachelor's degree in STEM, less than a year of relevant experience, and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance. Onsite position in Tucson, AZ with a salary range of $57,200 - $108,800.

Required Qualifications

  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance
  • U.S. citizenship
  • Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM)
  • Less than a year of prior relevant experience
  • Design, analysis, test, and/or simulation experience with one or more of the following non-isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck-boost
  • Experience using tools such as MATLAB, MathCAD, Mathematica, or other similar tools
  • Experience with analog electronics design, including at least one of the following: FETs/BJTs, op-amp, high/low/band pass filters, clock/data termination, and comparator circuits
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience communicating and documenting technical topics at the small team level
  • Experience in any one of the following: Familiarity with wide bandgap devices (SiC, GaN) in power electronics designs
  • Simulators such as SIMPLIS or SABER, or Mentor Graphics DxDesigner, and/or Hyperlynx
  • Acting as a liaison between program and functional management in a cross-matrixed organization
  • Military specifications
  • Design considerations for voltages > 400V and/or power > 10kW
  • Three-phase power systems, power factor control, and inverter/rectifier development
  • Program management tools such as Earned Value
  • Proposal development
