EAP Counsellor

Job Summary
Provide short-term counselling to a diverse client base within TELUS Health’ Employee Assistance Program, adapting interventions to fit personal style and leveraging technology to reduce administrative tasks. Work with a team of counsellors in a Quebec-based setting, participate in team meetings and peer groups, and use clinical templates to document notes. Must hold a Master’s or Doctoral degree in mental health or related field, be registered in good standing with relevant Quebec regulatory bodies, have at least five years of clinical experience, and be proficient in French (bilingualism is an asset); strong solution-focused approach, crisis management skills, and excellent time management are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or doctoral degree in mental health or a related field
- Registered member in good standing with the OPQ, OTSTCFQ, OPSQ or OPPQ
- At least five years of clinical experience
- Ability to set short-term goals and use a solution-focused approach
- Empathy and ability to manage crisis or high-risk situations
- Strong time management skills and ability to manage a high volume of clients
- Proficiency in French; bilingualism is an asset
