Job Summary
Safely operate a forklift to deliver material, pull specified orders from holding racks, and issue components and packaging to production as needed. Properly handle, store, pack, preserve, and deliver both material and product while identifying items from barcode tags per work instructions. Maintain a clean and organized work area and perform housekeeping activities as assigned. Perform visual inspections of inbound/outbound freight, chain/slings, and equipment, requiring the ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift up to 40 lbs. Work rotating shifts at Eagle Bend with a base pay of $21.83/hour plus a differential for 2nd and 3rd shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to safely operate forklift
- forklift/crane license or prior forklift/crane/cherry picker experience
- ability to read, write, and speak English
- basic math skills
- willingness to do whatever it takes to get the job done
- Ability to visually inspect inbound/outbound freight and containers
- sitting for extended periods of time
- continuous standing, bending, reaching, some kneeling and crawling
- climbing to get on/off forklifts
- adequate vision to safely operate forklifts/cranes
- visual inspection of chain/sling with each lift
- lifting of up to 40 lbs
