eAcute Virtual Care Nurse - Part Time Day Shift

The eAcute Virtual Med-Surg nurse is a pivotal member of the healthcare team to assist with managing the care of the adult or geriatric patient experiencing general medical conditions or general surgical procedures. The virtual nurse will assist with tasks such as completing the admission and discharge process, care plan development and maintenance, patient education, medication and discharge teaching, care coordination, mentoring of new nurses, and implementation of evidence-based care. The virtual eAcute nurse assists the primary bedside nurse with nursing tasks not required to be done in person as well as real-time quality and patient safety surveillance. This role is located in the Virtual Care Command Center at Cox South Hospital in Springfield, MO, and supports bedside RNs with workload alleviation and collaboration with virtual physicians, pharmacists, respiratory therapists, and Early Intervention Team. Requires RN licensure active in Missouri; education requirement includes graduation from an accredited nursing program with BSN preferred.
