E1 Maintenance Tech II

Job Summary
Maintenance Technician II responsible for maintaining all company assets through preventive, predictive and reactive maintenance practices. Partners with engineering to identify repetitive failures and implement improvement plans. Performs scheduled and reactive maintenance to repair or rebuild equipment, inputs detailed data into CMMS, and maintains housekeeping, safety and environmental standards. Requires a High School diploma (journey worker certificate preferred), 3+ years in manufacturing (extrusion plastics preferred), knowledge of industrial controls and mechanical systems, a valid driver’s license for frequent plant travel, and proficiency with CMMS and Microsoft Office. Must be able to operate hand and power tools and use fall protection and electrical testing equipment; works 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 rotation (including every other weekend); additional projects as assigned by supervisor; Teel Plastics is an equal opportunity employer.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma is required
- Journey worker certificate preferred
- Enrollment or completion of a certificate/degree program with at least 1 year job experience or 4+ years of job experience preferred
- 3+ years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, extrusion plastics preferred
- Knowledge of Industrial controls and mechanical systems
- Must possess valid driver’s license and transportation for frequent plant trips
- Ability to use Microsoft Office Outlook, Word, Excel and CMMS
- Ability to use hand and power tools, fall protection equipment, and electrical testing equipment
