Job Summary
Cleaning and maintaining a hospital environment: perform environmental services tasks across patient rooms, offices, and public areas, including cleaning furniture, floors, restrooms, curtains, equipment, and fixtures; perform discharge and terminal cleaning of isolation rooms; manage supplies and transport beds/cribs; follow infection control protocols and PPE guidelines; report safety hazards and repairs; adapt scheduling to department needs; uphold confidentiality and ethical standards; support compassionate patient-focused care in a pediatric hospital setting.
Required Qualifications
- Less than high school education; or up to one month related experience or training
- Ability to adjust schedule to meet department needs and changes
- Adheres to infection control guidelines
- Demonstrates good knowledge of the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Adheres to hospital and department attendance guidelines
- Adheres to hospital and department health and educational requirements
- Communicates with supervisors on areas that need clarification of guidance
